Just playing around in Photoshop tonight… I did this sketch on Friday and decided I wanted to mess around with it a bit, lol.

I didn’t do life drawing last Saturday because I got horribly distracted and needed a break. :O lol I do have some other cool stuff that I’m posting here soon (as well as a new/fixed site layout), though.

I have continued to do life drawing every Saturday morning. Here are some quick and dirty photos of drawings I did over the last couple of weeks… All of the artists there keep telling me that I have a really lovely style but I naturally am like… “Thank you. I wish I was a lot better, though…” LOL

Whew~! I am going to post some personal pieces that are not life drawing-related really soon.

I’m hard at work on another graphic right now (a new ID for my Deviantart page)… Hoping to finish that tonight, then after that I’m going to wrap up one of the set paintings I have had kicking around for awhile…

I’ve settled into my new life in BC pretty well, so I’m going to start updating often again… Thought I’d start with some of the life drawings I did this morning… I basically just went in there with a couple of col-erase pencils and did a bunch of 5-minute poses. The model was really nice and professional which was great. I’m definitely going to do this regularly for the next while and see where it takes me…

 I know I haven’t been updating recently; after I posted the backgrounds for the animated short I’m working on I got bombarded with offers for commissions and freelance work. Between that and the fact that the last two weeks of October tend to be extremely busy for me socially due not only to my birthday but also Halloween I haven’t had much time for blogging, although recently I have wondered if my posts should be meatier and more descriptive and if I should be posting more wips and such…

Anyway, here is a picture I drew for someone yesterday.

As pretty much everyone that I’ve talked to in the last few weeks knows I am in the process of creating another episode of Dial A for Adventure (with completely re-designed characters, superior [and far less rushed] art direction, etc.). Here are pretty much all of the backgrounds from this short (except for the most ambient ones), plus a few dramatic close-ups. I have my brother, Jared, assisting me on animation but I illustrated these backgrounds on my own.

We intend on releasing the episode by the end of September.
